About Us
Ever since she was a little girl, Ashika loved celebrations and gatherings with friends and family.
Growing up in Fiji Islands, considered one of the happiest places on Earth, Ashika spent her days and evenings playing by the beach, enjoying bonfires and savoring scrumptious dinners with family. She particularly cherished the elaborate celebrations and “lovo” feasts (similar to the Hawaiian lu’au) with extended family and neighbors that instilled in her the love for people and nature alike.
Immigrating to LA as a loving and a spirited teen, Ashika quickly embraced the many cultures and opportunities her adopted city had to offer. While she can no longer claim to be a teen, her bright spirit and creativeness led her to a rewarding career with several global corporations including The Walt Disney Company and live event producer Feld Entertainment Inc. The globetrotting requirements of her work were the perfect match for Ashika’s adventurous personality, allowing her to immerse herself in local cultures, learning as much about each destination as possible.
Family, friends, fun, worldwide adventure and hard work are part of Ashika’s DNA, so it’s no surprise she has a genuine love for people, special events and cultural celebrations. Harnessing that passion, and on several recommendations of her closest friends whose events she so beautifully created, Ashika was compelled to launch Orange Door Events in December 2020 to share her gift with the world!
In her spare time – if she has any – Ashika enjoys cooking, wine, spending time with her two active boys and husband, and celebrating her own beautiful events with her extended family in and around LA.
